Even though I run my own green and environmental blog I’m aware that most people believe “green living” to be an expensive lifestyle choice which they simply can’t afford. Well that ideology is becoming a thing of the past with green products becoming cheaper to buy that in the long run will save you money too.

Below is a list of the top 5 green products everyone should own in their home:

This nifty device will soak up the suns rays and let you charge just about any handheld item including; Your iPod, mobile phone or PDA. A nice little piece of kit.

You might think this non-essential item is a waste of money but as well as condensing the size of your waste cans in a matter of seconds this machine will earn you serious man points in front of female company – Flex and crush guys!
3. Eco Button for PC

That’s right it might look a tad peculiar but this green buddy will help you save power when you’re not using your PC. Simply press and your machine automatically go into “ecomode” and it uses less power than standby and can switch back on instantly at a click of your keyboard.

Ok, this is a bit geeky but this calculator is one of the first few products worldwide to use water (yes the stuff we drink) to power an every day object. First of many household products, will impress old people.
